Effective May 17, 2004 AliveCity migrated its AliveCity postoffice email users to a new mail server. Email notifications were sent out explaining the migration. Emails also went out to individual active* users to give them the new mail server and password settings.
A complete overhaul of the email infrastructure was done to improve stability, reliability, and to allow us to offer new and better email services to all of our customers. The new system has the following capabilities:
| |
- Advanced spam filtering - Aliases spanning multiple domains - Mail forwarding |
|
- SMTP relaying - Autoreply - Webmail integration | After May 17th, all mail will be received and checked via the new account.
Contact the website support team at 866-492-6296 ext 106 or via email to support@webtechhelp.com if you need your account name and/or password information or if you require assistance making the changes to your mail clients.
*Active users are users who have sent email from or received email into their AliveCity postoffice email account in the past 30 days. If you did not receive any notices due to inactivity then we may need to recreate your account information. Please contact the website support team for assistance.
Webmail Instructions: If you are using webmail, you will now go to "mail.xxx.xxx" instead of "postoffice.xxx.xxx" (where xxx.xx = your domain information). For example, users previously browsing to "postoffice.samplemailbox.net" will now type "mail.samplemailbox.net" to get to the webmail login screen.
Your username must now include your full domain (i.e. "jdoe@samplemailbox.net" instead of just "jdoe" in the username fields).
You will need to use the new password that was provided to you until you log in and change it.
